A Word From Our Area Site Director
My name is Katie, and I am thrilled to be the Program Director of the Wheeling Area site. During college, I studied education and youth ministry. Before coming to Kindred Life Ministries I was a public school teacher, and a volunteer in many children’s programs at my church. I am also married with three beautiful young children. This position suits me so well as it combines many of my passions and gifts! Particularly I love working with teens and sharing the love of Jesus! I am privileged to work with these teen moms and their families, what a terrific year we have ahead of us!
If you are a young mother who may have questions or you are someone looking to serve a teen mother as a volunteer, please feel free to contact me at 224-280-8286 or write me at Katie@KindredLife.org

Our Saviour Evangelical Free Church
We are so honored and blessed to be hosted every Wednesday night at Our Saviour Evangelical Free Church in Wheeling. The staff has been so incredibly gracious to our program. The congregation has been a blessing to our teen parents by mentoring, participating in Sip Cup Coin Drive and providing weekly meals.
You will find the sanctuary full of welcoming, friendly faces gathered to hear Pastor Adam delivering God’s word. Please feel welcomed to join any Sunday morning at 10:30am.

Each year the ministry names one volunteer who has gone above and beyond as the volunteer of the year. The women named volunteer of the year this year, Wynn Hulings, has certainly gone beyond. Not only does she mentor one of our teen moms in a consistent, tender, fun, and generous way, but she is there for each of the other teen parents too! Each teen mom likely has at least one story of how she has come alongside them and loved them well this year! She is always there for a ride, to talk to, for a meal, or when you need advice. Wynn, thank you for how you have served this year, we appreciate and admire you, you are our volunteer of the year! Congratulations!
Teen Parent Spotlight
Brenda and her son Sebastian have been in the Wheeling program for a year now. During this year it’s been our privilege to watch them grow and become more independent and strong as a family. Brenda is now completing her senior year of high school, with hopes of continuing her education next year towards becoming a registered nurse one day. Pray with us for Brenda and Sebastian, and dad Mauricio, that they would be able to balance their jobs, schooling, and parenting well.
