Patricia joined Kindred Life Ministries in January 2017 as the Wheeling Site Counselor.  Patricia has focused her education and professional career in working with the misunderstood and marginalized.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration with an emphasis in Juvenile Justice from Western Illinois University (2002), a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2014) and is working toward clinical licensing as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

Patricia describes herself as an informed therapist and attributes this to her unique multi-cultural experience in which she was raised.  She is passionate about planting seeds of hope and will use these experiences to connect, support and encourage our young families. Additionally, Patricia is a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in mental health crisis and child development.  She and husband Eloy attend Christ Church of Lake Forest where they serve in various areas on the Connection’s Team and children’s ministry.  She enjoys having a pet bunny, Poppy, and thrives in being creative.

Nikki is delighted to be able to bring her passion and gift for administration to Kindred Life Ministries.  “I have been aware of this Ministry over the past few years through
enjoying the Chili Cook-off event at our church and contributing via the Sippy Cups, and I thank God for opening a door for me to work with the staff.”

Nikki has enjoyed a varied career life which includes research, teaching, IT management and administration. She holds a BSc. in Zoology and a PhD in Marine Biology. She spent much of her life in her native England, moving to the states 20 years ago.  She is married to Gary and mother to daughter Laurel.  Nikki and her family attend Gurnee Community Church, where she is also the Director of Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, nature, hiking, knitting, genealogy and baking.
