We welcome:

Bethany KLBethany Roy, Gurnee Counselor- Bethany holds her Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in the foster care system. She heard about Kindred Life through a close friend and wanted to use her experience and passions to assist teen mothers. She is joining the Kindred Life staff as the Gurnee site counselor. Bethany lives with her husband, Andrew, and two children, Jack and Anna. Her hobbies include reading and exercising, and she enjoys spending time with her family.

 

 

DebDeb Torres, Wheeling Counselor- Deb is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in psychiatry and medical social work. She is also a doula and a hospice social worker. Most of all, she is a joyful and grateful child of God. Deb heard about Kindred Life after a friend recommended her for the counseling position at the Wheeling site. After seeking God’s will in prayer and through wise counsel, she is joining the Kindred Life staff as the Wheeling site counselor. Deb lives with her husband, Ramon, and has two daughters, Naomi and Abby. In her free time, she enjoys walking, tennis, and world travel.

 

 

OliviaOlivia Corbeil, Journalism Intern – Olivia is a senior in the English/Communications program at Trinity International University, with a minor in Christian Ministries. She has joined the Kindred Life team for the summer to simultaneously learn through and help with various writing projects. She looks forward to finishing her final year of college and exercising her gifts in the workplace after graduation. When she is not working or in class, Olivia enjoys creative writing, cooking, listening to music, and frequenting the public library.

Carrie Yeaman, Program Supervisor – Carrie Yeaman served as Gurnee Site Director for three and half years and Program Supervisor the last year and a half. She was instrumental in implementing new outreach programming for dads and grandparents for the ministry. We were thrilled to utilize Carrie’s school social work background and love for families during her time at Kindred Life. Carrie will continue to serve Kindred Life as a community partner in her new position as Director of Children and Family Ministries at Gurnee Community Church.
