Meet Jess, and her one year old son Braeden who are new this year to the Kindred Life Antioch area office.  Jess always dreamed of being a stay at home mom, however, those dreams were put on hold when she became pregnant at 19.  Today she is grateful for the help Kindred Life offers her through counseling, group work and helping her secure employment.

While Braeden’s father is involved, he is a college student studying out of state but carves out time on breaks to spend with his son.  Jess has been busy learning to parent, and receives mentoring and counseling.  We are proud of her hard work and celebrate her accomplishments in securing two jobs while she lives at home with her parents.

We are grateful for those of you who have prayed for Jess and others in our ministry as we see first-hand how God is softening her heart.  If you recognize Jess, you may have been one of a few folks who had sponsored a sip cup for Jess and Braeden last month during our Sanctity of Life sip cup drive.  If you are, thank you!  Your prayers, notes and gifts help young parents like Jess feel loved and cared for this month – especially during Valentines Day.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to participate in a sip cup drive to pray and encourage a teen mom, we have sip cup drives being planned for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day!  To learn more about how you can bless and encourage a teen mom or a teen dad this spring visit our Change4Change Sip Cup page at https://kindredlifeministries.org/volunteer/change4change/

Thank you!
