This week we held our Annual Fall Family Open House and they were indeed full! The family nights give our teen moms the opportunity to bring their child’s father and respective grandparents to experience the Kindred Life program and meet staff and volunteers.  Our families enjoyed dinner, activities and break-out sessions designed to build relationships and offer support.

We were thrilled to meet and greet four teen dads and three grandparents in Antioch, four grandparents and six prospective teen moms in Wheeling and gurnee-iiione teen dad and four grandparents in Gurnee.  It was our highest attended open house since we began hosting these special nights four years ago. Furthermore, our Christian therapists, teen dad mentors and financial counselors were available to connect, explain the program and answer questions giving the family members a wonderful picture of the comprehensive support and partnership
