It’s a tradition at our Ministry Partner Appreciation nights for the teen moms to thank our Kindred Life supporters. Please know how much our young families appreciate each person, family or group that said a prayer, or gave their time or financial resources. You have become like family to them. Here are a few things they had to say:
Gurnee Site
April – to her mentor… “Thank you for being the person you are because I wouldn’t be the person I am without you. I thank God for putting people in my path.”
Nina – “Thank you for helping us through this journey. I’m just so thankful.”
Jesenia– “I’ve never had a real family or role model until now. Thank you for making me feel like I am part of a family.”
Michelle – “Thanks for being patient with me and helping me build my budget. With your help I was the first in my family to go to college. Thank you everyone that helped.”
Antioch Site
Allie – to her mentor... “Thank you for all the things you’ve done for me and for going out of your way for me. You’ve been nothing but a blessing to me and Matthew. God has given
me the best mentor and I really adore you.”
Jessica – to her mentor… “Even with your busy life you still want to come and help me out with my problems. It’s awesome how we know so many things about each other now.”
Angie – to her mentor… “You go above and beyond and you are always there when I need you.”
Ashley – “I am so thankful to be a part of this group. You have made me a better mother to my child.”
Wheeling Site
Daisy – “There is help here all over the place. I’m glad to say that my mentor is also my friend.”
Karley – “The financial support helps in so many ways from rent to car seats. When I arrive there is always a happy face to see. My mentor is always there when I needed her. My son and I love you and thank you for everything.”
Lisa – “Everyone is here for me in good and bad times. I have so much to say and thankful that volunteers are there for us in so many ways.”
